Unfortunate pricing/shipping situation
This is one of those items we’ve been eager to try but the unfortunate pricing/shipping situation makes it cost prohibitive. To even try this product for the first time we would have to buy four tubs to meet the shipping requirements and it would cost us nearly $186. Everything comes overnight delivery and frozen. I don’t understand the separate shipping - MarvEisaB@protonmail.com
From USWM: Thank you for your interest and for reaching out. Our Pemmican is not fully shelf-stable, meaning we aim to get them to you cold or, at best, fully frozen. We ask our customers to meet two minimums so that the product can ship directly to your doorstep and arrive in good condition. We often suggest customers interested in the Pemmican give a bar a try in order of meat products readily used in the home. Don't forget to use the coupon code FRESH15 for 15% off your first purchase with us. I hope you find this note helpful, and we appreciate your opportunity to serve you!

Terrible Requirements for Shipping
So it says that I need to spend at least $75 and for Freezed Items I need over 7 LBS to ship. I just wanted to get a pail of this and not only would I have to get 2 to make it over $75 but I would have to get 4 of these to make it over the 7 LB limit($160). I don't get why this is counted as a frozen item. I would much much rather make my own pemmican and not have to deal with these stingy shipping requirements.
From USWM: Thank you for your valued feedback and for reaching out.We are using a Cherokee recipe but the reason we have limited shelf life is our processor is unable to grind air dry pemmican with their equipment. The processor is leaving more moisture than the Native Americans in order to grind the jerky without damage to the grinding equipment. The Native Americans removed all the moisture and their product was shelf stable. The remaining moisture also makes our pemmican softer and easier to enjoy. We consider our version an “everyday” pemmican. It is an excellent combination of fat and protein intended for ease of eating on the go, as meal replacement, or for extra energy. We have tried the shelf stable, brick hard varieties of homemade pemmican over the years; ours is not that type of non-perishable, survival food. We hope you find this note helpful and are standing by if we may be of further assistance in this regard.

This is as close as you can get to homemade folks!
My family and I have been making pemmican for generations. We love it, and always have. We discovered this pemmican and fell in love. Saved me all kinds of steps, and everyone whom I have introduced it to loves it. We take it out of the pail, mix in some of our own stuff double seal it, and throw it in the freezer. We take it on camping trips, we fry it like sausage in the mornings for a quick breakfast with good old country cat head biscuits or drop biscuits.
My family highly recommends this pemmican!

Taste excellant and Convenient
Pemmican is convenient and a healthy choice. Consistency of Pemmican is close to a hard nut butter. Pemmican has a wonderful flavor and is easy to scoop out of canister. I feel there is not much of a taste difference between the plain or cherry Pemmican they both taste very similar. I give Pemmican an A++++ and will order again!!
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication in making healthy nutritious meat products for consumers.

My first taste was of the bars. At first, it was like I took a bite out of a candle. A few minutes later I started noticing that I liked the aftertaste, so I tried another bite. The second bite was much more agreeable. Soon I'd finished the whole bar. Every bar since I've found to be delicious. If you're new to pemmican, DO NOT base your decision on only one bite. This is now one of my favorite snacks.

I take the pale, after thawing and cut into 5-6 round disks. Then I cut each disk into small bars. The perfect size for snacking, and adding unto the top of my salads for lunch.
Very satisfying food.
Many times I add it to my breakfast eggs for a very satisfying meal.

I have used this as a quick snack for my children for years. I scoop out chunks and freeze them in individual bags. Then I just grab and go. My boys will eat them frozen or thawed!
