Recipe by: Sheryl & Nick Shenefelt

US Wellness Shopping List: Wild-caught ShrimpGrass-fed Butter

Serves 3-4

Ingredients

For the Shrimp

  • 2 lbs US Wellness Wild-Caught shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 Tbsp Truly Grass-fed butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Stir-Fry Vegetables

  • 2-4 cups mixed vegetables (such as broccoli, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, zucchini, carrots, snap peas, or your favorites)
  • 2 Tbsp Truly Grass-fed butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Sauce

  • ¼ cup naturally fermented tamari
  • 2 Tbsp organic light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (use less if you don’t want too much spice)
  • 1 tsp paprika (use less if you don’t want too much spice)
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (use less if you don’t want too much spice)

For Serving

  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

Cook the Vegetables

  • Heat a large cast iron pan or wok over medium heat. Add butter and let it melt.
  • Add the stir-fry mixed vegetables and season with salt and pepper.
  • Sauté, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are just tender but still have a slight bite. Remove from heat and set aside.

Make the Shrimp

  • Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side depending on size, until pink and slightly charred.
  • After flipping, add the minced garlic and butter to the pan. Let the butter melt and the garlic become fragrant, basting the shrimp in the mixture for the last 1–2 minutes of cooking.

Combine and Finish

  • Add the cooked shrimp to the vegetable pan. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and vegetables.
  • Toss everything together over medium heat for 1–2 minutes, letting the sauce coat and caramelize slightly.
  • Add the cooked rice and mix everything together until the rice is fully coated in the sauce and heated through.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Serve

Serve immediately straight from the pan.
