I eat quite a bit of meat & I'm thriving. I love USWM for their grassfed and grass finished meat, organs, and bones. They also respect their animals and allow them to live good lives. Win win! Tongue has become one of my faves. It is perfectly fatty so it's always tender, never dry, and pulls apart so easily. Tongue is amazing for its fat content, protein, and very good for the immune system. I slow cook it for 8 hours on low with sea salt and bay leaves. Then I peel it, shred it, and then about another hour in the broth. Boom! Pure joy and healthy meals galore. Ordering more. Thanks USWM! Be blessed!

First one was good size. Last two were very small - all same price
The cow tongue was surprisingly delicious. 9 hours in the crock pot on low and you have a delectable meat for so many dishes. The first tongue I ordered was probably 3 lbs and pretty large. I thought that was normal/average after reading tons of reviews on how to prepare this.
But that was short lived. The last two I ordered have been extremely small. I will never order these again. Why am I paying nearly $30 to now be receiving exponentially smaller pieces? No thank you. It may be easier to just have a flat rate for cow tongue because the size is what it is, unlike butchered cuts or ground meat that can have a consistent weight. But the last 2 tongues I received were soooo much smaller than the first one so it appears that the smaller pieces are the norm, not the larger pieces. That makes this too expensive for me because you'll mostly get the smaller pieces. Hence the 3 stars, for charging the same cost when you start getting smaller and smaller pieces.
PS- I never found bones in the cow tongue but I DID just find 6 thick, little bones today in the 2 lamb tongues purchased from USWM. I do NOT recommend the lamb tongue whatsoever! Too costly for the miniscule amount of meat after all of the cartilage was removed (also not something I noticed in the cow tongue). And NOBODY wants to choke on bones in their food.

The best beef tongue, ever!
I've been eating tongue for over 60 years (as a kid this was a 'cheap' cut of meat that few wanted to eat but now a delicacy)
This is the best Tongue I've ever cooked. Will be ordering more.
Very 'clean' - almost nothing to skim off the top of cooking pot. Simmer for about 3-1/2 hours with celery stalks, whole carrot, peeled onion, whole peeled cloves of fresh garlic, and sea salt. Peel before it cools completely.

I have always like tongue but this onetook it to another level. It was so soft and tender that it melted in our mouths.
Excellent quality and I will buy again!!!

I've had tongue (lengua) tacos before and loved them, just tried cooking it for the first time and WOWeewow! This is a great cut and there was plenty to go around! So happy I bought two! Will definitely be ordering again. Thank You for offering this cut US Wellness!!

I absolutely love tongue! After trying a tongue from here, I can honestly say I will be disappointed with even the most tender of steak cuts, as tongue just melts in your mouth! It is truly a delicacy. I will be buying tongue time and time again- I'm hooked! It is high in fat and after eating it with some greens I found that my energy level was steady and free of awful blood sugar dips that I'd been experiencing on the Standard American Diet (aptly dubbed SAD). Traditional meats and foods are wonderful, and raising animals the way US Wellness Meats strives to promote is environmentally responsible and produces healthy food.

Wow! I felt bad for that cow seeing the actual tongue! :( It was really weird - I had never bought, cooked or had ever tried eating tongue!
Amazing! It was excellent! Tastes like beef but Better! Very soft texture and awesome taste! I will definitely purchase again! Please continue with the high standards of grass fed/finished and no additives, hormones, etc. the way we were intended to eat! Thank you!
