Cut a piece for my husband, he couldn't figure out what it was and hated it. I decided to fry it to see if that would make it better. Yuk!! Had to throw in garbage. Too bad I bought 2 lbs. of it!

Bologna that is healthy for me
I love that I can get grass fed grass finished bologna. I used to eat the processed kind years ago and stopped it several years ago and now I’m glad I can eat bologna that is healthy for me -Sandra T.

Baloney & liverwurst are two of my staple lunch meats and the only place I buy these are US Wellness Meats! I freeze them and then as needed, I will take one of each, thaw them in the fridge and cut into 5-6 pieces for little baggies ready to freeze again - always available for next day's lunch… -Mike S.

Very good taste and texture. It does not leave that weird "film" on your tongue like the commercial mass produced version. Frys up nicely.

Tried a number of items from US Wellness and am happy with all so far. Bologna had perfect texture and taste. Could not be happier!! Appreciate your products and animal welfare mission. And the fact that you don’t add fillers and chemicals and emulsifiers and ‘natural flavors’ to products.

A little disappointed with the beef bologna. I’ve ordered before and like it, but this last purchase I bought 10 lbs and literally every package had bone fragments in it. Very hard on my teeth. Not sure if I’ve just been lucky biting past the bone fragments in previous shipments?? I hope there’s a way to fix that - grass fed low carb is a big plus for me.
From USWM: We apologize sincerely for this very uncustomary report of our Beef Bologna. We are extremely mindful of our customer reviews, offering the opportunity to alter inventory in the event of quality control concerns such as gristle/bone fragments. Again, this is not a common complaint given the high quality of our products. Our crew scrutinizes all of the grinding meat for bones and tendons before it goes in the grinder which is time consuming, but necessary. We have updated our bone guard screen which will is the last step in minimizing bone and gristle. We use quite a few moving pieces and parts in our cutting room. Occasionally, a quarter size of our gristle may be ground or cut into thousands upon thousands of pounds of product. We will readily admit that we are not perfect and we have had bits and pieces in our ground beef a few times over the years. We recently added an outside supervisor that observes and assists in the packing plant to minimize gristle/bone that end up where they should not be. We also implemented a new state of the art grinding machine that puts out an even higher grade product. Loved bologna as a kid but have not purchased the watered down and chemical laden bologna from the grocery store in over 2 decades. When I saw this I wanted to try it. It is a firm perfectly seasoned bologna with nothing but quality in it. Will buy again.

bio - chemistry of a fish
I feel like I am 9 years old again and I get to eat my favorite food again.. Bologna and Salami and provolone and mustard sandwichs......yyyyeeeeaaaiii super good, super pleased. I am driving my husband crazy because he is an excellent cook and I keep eating sandwiches!

Different but really good...
Can't say I've ever had grass feed bologna before so I expected something different. The texture and flavor are a little different than store bought bologna. It took a sample or two and I was hooked. It's very tasty and it's also good to know your getting a clean product that is not juiced up with nitrates and other nasty stuff. Slap some mustard on and put it between a couple of slices of GF bread and you are good to go.

It's been many years since I last tasted bologna, so I can't comment on how this compares to supermarket brands, but I absolutely love it! Excellent flavor, reminded me of a cross between the very faint memory I have of childhood bologna, and a mild sausage. I wanted to eat the entire package right then and there (I didn't, but I thought about it...)

My husband loves bologna and I have always disliked it. It was a "texture" thing. I thought I'd treat him to some high-quality bologna to save him from the cheap junk at the grocery store and was surprised to find I really liked it! I'm still not eating his favorite, fried bologna sandwiches, but loved this simply sliced and dipped in spicy mustard.

My husband loves fried bologna sandwiches, so I made him one with this. It is small, so I sliced several pieces, cooked in a skillet and served it on a bun with mustard. He asked for a second sandwich. Winner!

This bologna tastes like bologna should. The texture is great, and it is so very delicious on sourdough bread with a little mustard. I am so happy to have found lunch meats from grass-fed cows. thanks so much for making quality meat products.

Not for our family either...
Definitely a high quality product. However, the flavor and texture just did not fit my taste. Might be because I grew up on commercial bologna. Recommend trying, but know it is different from what you would get in supermarket!

Our family like it a lot.
Yes, it's small, but we find it perfect for us. We are gluten free and I make my own bread which is not tall. We eat gluten free crackers, so this is perfect size. Just put more slices on your bread to cover it. You can eat it just as meat on your dish. It tastes very good. If you like and expect conventional bologna, then it's not what you want. I did not eat processed meats from store for about 10 years and, to be honest, I don't remember what it tasted like at all.

The texture was chewy,and just not the flavor we were used to when we think of bologna.
