Our Wild-caught King Salmon comes from sustainable fisheries in the Salish Sea off Lummi Island in the Northwest Pacific. These are WILD King Salmon, NOT farmed. King Salmon is also known as Chinook, Tyee, or Blackmouth Salmon. They are prized for their high oil content, firm texture and rich flavor.

Lummi Island seafood is sustainably sourced using both reefnet fishing and hook and line methods.

Reefnet fishing is a passive fishing method. The main advantage is in its lack of by-catch mortality. Unwanted species are simply released from the live well back into their natural environment. They use no fossil fuels, only solar charged batteries to run their equipment, allowing for the smallest carbon footprint of any salmon fishery. 

Their fisherman work with local tribes to produce the best salmon available. Fish are frozen just minutes after being caught, preserving the fish's flavor and texture.

Orders shipped via FedEx ground or express service will receive a FedEx tracking number after the order ships. 

Keep frozen at or below 0° F (-18° C). Vacuum-sealed fish held under these conditions should retain its quality for at least six to 12 months.
 
Shellfish and lean white fish (halibut, cod) generally have a longer freezer life than fatty fish (salmon, tuna, sablefish).
 
NOTE: Seafood stored in frost-free freezers should be used within 3 months.

Title says it all. Most products are stellar - especially the beef - but going to pass on the fish.
