I ordered these because Another company was out of the 2 & 4 oz of just Marrow, no bone. Which i depend on to add to my meat for a 2.1 ratio.
Bad idea! Half of them I could not get a knife through the center because it was bone clear to the middle.
I had to nibble through what i did get oout because of bone and chunks of bone, felt like glass.
May be If you plan to cook them. I wanted the marrow out to add to my ground beef in a pan, without the additional protein around the bone.
I would certainly not give these to my dog.
From the USWM Team: We thank you for your patronage and for this feedback. As avid marrow bone consumers, we understand exactly what the 'hard glass' portion of the marrow bones you are referring to. There is porous section of the 'hard' long bone that naturally houses marrow within. Thin Marrow bones are often roasted for a minimum of 5-6 minutes, allowing for the pores to release the marrow allowing for easy consumption. Best of health!
