Great Alternative to Pork Bacon
I do not like/eat pork, so this product fulfills my desire for bacon. It is a bit too salty for my taste, but the smoke flavor is great. As some others have mentioned, it’s not as crispy as pork when fried, but still delicious. It is also very fatty, which is what I was looking for. I will be buying this again.

Meat tasted great

Dense and tasty

Overall good
Overall the bacon is good. It’s not as crispy as pork when fried. I feel that it’s a little more fatty than pork bacon. However I like beef and for someone like me who’s trying to get away from pork I find it’s a much better alternative than turkey bacon!. I also noticed it’s not as salty as pork, in fact I may have to cheat and add a little salt but I would prefer to do that as most times I don’t want it at all because the rest of the food I’m eating has enough seasoning -Helen T.

Oh So Good!
This bacon is amazing! It is better tan pork bacon. Unfortunately, I only ordered 2 packets. My 83 year old mother loves this bacon. It is expensive; however, the quality is worth it. I will need to create a bi-weekly budget so I can continue to order these healthy and awesome tasting products and next time I will order 3 packs! Bravo!

Love this bacon!
We don’t eat pork, we usually eat turkey bacon. But when we saw this and tried it, it’s a new favorite! Personally I like to put a little garlic powder on it after cooking.

Smoke taste is overwhelming
When I ordered this I thought I was getting pork bacon. It is so heavily smoked that I can't eat it. The strong taste of even the fat has ruined more than one dish. It was expensive so I don't want to throw it away (unfortunately I don't have a dog I can feed it to) but it's going to take a long time to eat. I'm definitely on the "hater" side!

Good texture, carmelized, taste like fish
I pan fried a few of the strips and they have a nice texture and carmelized. But the taste is not for me nor my husband. They taste like fish. If you don’t mind that try it out. But we don’t like it. I diced up the remaining strips and will brown with my ground beef to not waste it.

What Happened?
I absolutely love the beef bacon ... at least I did. The last packages I bought tasted like someone forgot to add the seasoning. The bacon was bland and gamey-tasting. Because I bought several packages, I've gone ahead and used them, seasoning as I cook, but it doesn't taste as it should. I'm hoping that this was just a bad batch. Since this is a first negative in all my years of purchasing, I'll give it another shot. 'Fingers crossed, this time.

Strong grass fed flavor
I eat grass fed beef for the health benefits, taste wise I prefer corn fed. These have a VERY STRONG grass fed flavor to them. I can usually handle most grass fed steaks and ground beef fine. For me, this beef bacon was another level of grass fed flavor. Not a huge fan personally but if you like a strong grass fed flavor then you’ll enjoy.

Best Beef Bacon Out There
This is the ONLY beef bacon I have been able to find that is sugar, nitrate free. I am allergic to pork so and of course I LOVE BACON. This Beef Bacon is the best bacon ever - I love the flavor and the texture. I reuse the bacon fat that I render off the bacon to fry other items. Highly recommend this item!

Chewy and Freezer burnt
I really regret ordering 2 of these. It tastes so bland and chewy. Grey and freezer burned as soon as I got them. Like eating bad beef jerky.

Bad batch?
Was really excited to try this but am disappointed. As another reviewer stated, the colour was very brown, unlike in the picture. The strips were also not thick at all--very thin and super, super tough (I can chew through most tendons with no problem but had trouble with this!). I tried pan frying it and cooking it according to the instructions in the Recipes section, but it was very bland--no smokey taste, no beefy taste, not enough salt even. Would love to see what other reviewers are raving about but don't know if I would chance buying this again.

Can’t eat this.
I did not realize aimordered beef bacon. I just saw sugar free bacon and ordered a pound. I cooked it this morning and tasted a tiny bite before serving it to my family. Nobody will eat it after trying a tiny taste. It reminds me of a natural tasting beef jerky. It does not have good flavor at all. Throwing the whole thing away. I should have read the reviews as I see this is a love hate item. Unfortunately everyone in my house hates it. Disappointed to say the least.

So Disappointed
Even after seeing the other reviews I gave this a try and really wanted to love it. I love pork bacon but trust beef more. Not only did it just not taste the same as pork bacon, I did not like it at all. It took me forever to finish it off and I went back to my old standby pork bacon.

All Fat

This order had no salt
This is my second order of the beef bacon. I love that we can enjoy bacon again as we do not eat pork. The first order was amazing and my whole family raved!! The second order was good as well, but all the packages we order are not salted...My beef ends are unsalted as well. I am paying premium for my meat and really wanted to not have to add salt. I will continue to order, but I am hoping that US wellness meats will take notice and make sure that my next order is salted.

This is my second order of the beef bacon. I love that we can enjoy bacon again as we do not eat pork. The first order was amazing and my whole family raved!! Beef bacon
First time trying beef bacon. I’m not sure if I got a bad batch, but it was dark in color, stringy and had not much flavor at all. I am throwing it out. All other products I received and have tried so far were great, just not the beef bacon. I will not be ordering it again. :-(

This had no flavor other than smoke. It has much less fat than typical bacon, and too much meat. No matter how long I cooked it, or how much salt I added, I just couldn't enjoy it.

Sticking with the “pig”

It's not like bacon at all, terrible I would never recommend it especially for how much you pay for it, Stick with 85 or better hamburger, steak or a chuck roast. Not for me. Too smokey smelling

When I opened the package, the bacon had a very strong smokey smell, but I was still very much looking forward to trying it. I baked it in the oven at 400° for 18 minutes and it came out looking perfect. Unfortunately after the first peice, I had to throw the rest away and it was hard to get the smokey smell out of my house. Pork bacon all the way!

A great option
This was my first time trying beef bacon. The flavor is pretty much identical to pork bacon, salty and fatty. The texture is different from pork bacon, as it is thicker and meatier, and for the most part it doesn't crisp up as well as the pork bacon. I like my bacon really well done, so I do get some crispness, but not quite the same as pork bacon. I like that it doesn't have the big fatty deposits that pork bacon has. Nice for breakfast, or on a sandwich. Very good!

Changed my mind
I did not like the beef bacon as I stated in a previous review. Since I had some left I decided to cook it in a crock pot on low and then give it to my dogs. After the bacon had cooked on low for a few hours I tasted the bacon. I loved it. The next batch I added granulated garlic. It was even better. I will be buying this again.

Won't buy this again

We fell in love with beef bacon after our local butcher started offering it. He cant keep up with demand, so we went searching. The reviews here on USWM were good and referred to smokiness, which is essential to bacon.

Another not what I expected
I am beginning to wonder if I got a bad batch of meats from here - like did they sit too long or something? My family loves bacon and not one of us could eat a whole piece. It seemed bad while cooking and I reluctantly threw it out. I have a couple other options I purchased and hoping they are better.
Too much smokey taste - coloring was way off (brown). I received in the package still frozen. Put in freezer and took out night before to thaw overnight in refrigerator to cook next day.
Again, it may just be my family as we haven't had beef bacon before, but it was the smoke taste that was off (and the smell)

I am beginning to wonder if I got a bad batch of meats from here - like did they sit too long or something? My family loves bacon and not one of us could eat a whole piece. It seemed bad while cooking and I reluctantly threw it out. I have a couple other options I purchased and hoping they are better.

Best Beef Bacon (it totally beats pork!)
Finding a healthy, grass-fed beef bacon was a dream come true. I don't eat any pork, so having an incredibly tasty alternative is awesome. I find that beef bacon tastes much better anyway. I love this product because there is no sugar added, no nitrites, or other nasty ingredients.

love it
Since I cant eat pork I have been searching for a bacon that was closer in taste that turkey bacon. and one with out all the additives. This bacon is fantastic. It is a little more fatty but I dont mind that. I love it best wrapped around asparagus. Yum!

AWESOME!
Once I married ten years ago, I had to give up the swine.. and turkey breakfast sausage you can't tell the difference.. same with beef bologna. I replaced my childhood ham sandwiches with honey roasted turkey slices and grew to prefer it.. but NEVER could I find anything remotely similar to pork bacon. Turkey bacon doesn't work at all in that department for me. But THIS does!! Absolutely amazing, healthy and delicious. :D

Great Bacon!
This bacon is delicious! I was not sure what to expect in the flavor as all other bacon is cured using sugar and this is not. The flavor is great! I don't eat pork and during my "Whole30" program I discovered this grassfed beef bacon and I am not going back to the other bacon.

Best product and least salty. Love it!
I just love this beef bacon. Not something you can get in stores. Tastes great. Put it in oven on 435 for 25 min. No splatter to clean and it's not too dry. Just right crisp. Yum yum!

Loved this one for a few years
I strip off half the fat, fry it up in a pan, then finish it off in the microwave for 1 min. I don't do 'pig' anything and frankly, the beef tastes much better than pig fat anyway.

Love it!
First, understand that beef bacon isn't exactly like pork bacon. It's fattier and doesn't get quite as crisp. It's kind of like a combination of bacon and beef ribs in taste and texture. That being said, this tastes amazing and satisfies my bacon cravings. It's not very salty but has a perfect smokey flavor. Great product!

Best bacon I've ever had!f
A family favorite! The strips are nice and thick (and straight) which allows for easy frying. Flavor is outstanding.
