Fair taste
These chicken thighs taste okay cooked in an air fryer. But I have to admit that I prefer the taste of the Greenwise chicken thighs I buy at Publix. I'm sure these are healthier though. I don't enjoy cooking and only seasoned these with sea salt, so maybe if you use them in a really good recipe they would taste delicious.

Tough as shoe leather
I've been buying the bone in thighs for a couple of months. Until my last order they have been some of the best tasting chicken thighs I've tried. The last order from Canton MO were TERRIBLE tough as shoe leather. Is there a way to find out what farm you are using so I can avoid them.

From USWM: Thank you for giving our Chicken Thighs a try! The thighs you received are from a new farm we were testing out in the hopes of adding them to our consistent supplier list. Our recent reviews clearly show that this supplier fell short in the tenderness category. The good news is that we've since switched back to our traditional supplier, and assure you, if you give our thighs another try, they will not disappoint. Please call our offices at (877)383.0051 with your LOT# and Order # to further discuss these specific thighs. We appreciate you and look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve you. - The USWM Team

Chewy
Ive been buying here for years. This time, the same old chicken I received was a different packaging and it was awful. Mustve been old chicken. Tough, chewy and very disappointing.

FROM USWM: Thank you for your review. We spoke to you via email on this issue, and were more than happy to either refund or replace your product that did not meet expectations. We appreciate your long-time patronage and stand behind the quality of our chicken products. I apologize sincerely for your inconvenience and again appreciate the feedback. We look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve you.

Inedible and Bad Customer Service
I emailed you 5 days ago and crickets. I am a new customer with two orders behind me, and I was looking forward to a long, delicious relationship until I tried your bone in skin on chicken thighs. I was so excited because they had gotten good reviews and I love how they are packaged for easy storing.

However, something was horribly wrong with them. After thawing in cold water I grilled them, hoping for that perfect crispy skin and all I got was rubber. Thick tasteless rubber. They were inedible.

They were maybe only a week in my freezer before I thawed them so I can’t blame freezer age. What happened? Did I do something wrong? I don’t want to leave a bad review but I would like to get reimbursed for the 2 pounds that I threw away. Also, I would like to hear your explanation so I can continue to purchase from you with confidence.

Maybe you will respond to a bad review which I was respectfully trying to avoid.

**From USWM - Dear Robin, I want to thank you for your valued feedback and for reaching out with your review. After a in-depth search of your initial email, I was able to locate  your communication attempt from the first of this Month. I personally monitor our email inbox and respond to each communication within 24-48 hours. This said, your email was filtered to our 'junk' account. I will revisit our email filter settings, as I agree this should never have happened. In direct response to your feedback, our chicken thighs should not be rubbery after grilling. Pasture raised chickens will have slightly less fat in the winter months (here in the Midwest) as the energy is used to keep them warm. I will refund you for the Qty x2 Pasture Raised Chicken Thighs  SKU 88007 that did not meet customer expectation. -  Here is a great little recipe using our chicken on the grill that might interest you! - https://discover.grasslandbeef.com/blog/grilled-chicken-drumsticks/ Best of health!

massively inconsistent sizing
I've ordered these in the past and the sizes have been acceptable. Often, one of the thighs is a little smaller is desirable. But nothing like two packages I just defrosted! Five of the thighs are miniscule-about 2.5 oz each (I weighed them), while the others are the standard 5-6 oz. One of the thighs isn't even a whole thighs, it's a chunk! I won't be able to cook these the way I planned, and I would never have bought these had I known I was buying baby chicken thighs. I wish I could rely on consistent quality, this isn't fair.

**FROM USWM - Thank you for your valued feedback. Please know that our chickens will be smaller in the winter months as they are 100% pastured and minimally supplemented. We agree with you the 'hunk' is unacceptable, and the first report I've heard. I will pass your review on to our supplier for further investigation into what may have happened there. Please feel free to reach out to us at 877.383.0051 M-F 8:30a-5p CST M-F for personal assistance in rectifying this issue to your full-satisfaction. We appreciate you and look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve you!

My favorite chicken recipes ...
My all-time favorite chicken part is skin-on bone-in thighs -- so versatile!  The skin and bone add flavor to recipes and soak up the marinade for a more flavorful result.  And it's easy to remove the skin and bone if I need skinless/boneless.

I use these often in my favorite "sheet pan" recipes -- chicken + veggies roasted together on a sheet pan.  I start the chicken early, then add the veggies, and everything finishes together for a hearty satisfying meal.

These are larger than the stuff at the local supermarket, and that's fine with me.  The flavor is fantastic.  Definitely will be purchasing these regularly.

Great
I just had these for dinner and my family loved it.  I took my kitchen shears and cut the meat from the bone.  Then I used a tenderizer mallet to flatten them for even cooking.  Then some salt on the skin side and fryed them up on a hot cast iron pan with some ghee.  I seasoned the flesh side of the chicken while it was in the pan and flip for the rest of the cooking.  The skin was crispy and flavorful.  Meat was moist and tender.  After removing the chicken from the hot pan there's a bunch of drippings and delicious seasonings left in the pan perfect for sautéing some veggies or cauli rice in.  I was simple and so good.

Used to be good
I have been purchasing these chicken thighs for a while, always 4-5 in a pack, normal sized and tasty. The ones I just received had 2 thighs, 3/4 lb each. I had to cut them in half to make portions, they took forever to cook, and they were tough, never again; way too expensive for old tough chicken thighs.

Flavorful
Some, who have recently switched from commercial chicken, may find these thighs smaller than those sold in your local grocery store.  Do NOT let this put you off this product.  The thighs, bone-in, skin on, make for amazing crispy chicken thighs or a great addition to a soup.

Love!
This has become a favorite alternative to chicken breasts, the dark meat providing a richer and moister option. Great marinated and then pan-fried!

Excellent Quality
I HOPE they will soon offer boneless and skinless THIGHS the way they do the breasts.  I much prefer the juicier dark meat.
