I emailed you 5 days ago and crickets. I am a new customer with two orders behind me, and I was looking forward to a long, delicious relationship until I tried your bone in skin on chicken thighs. I was so excited because they had gotten good reviews and I love how they are packaged for easy storing.
However, something was horribly wrong with them. After thawing in cold water I grilled them, hoping for that perfect crispy skin and all I got was rubber. Thick tasteless rubber. They were inedible.
They were maybe only a week in my freezer before I thawed them so I can’t blame freezer age. What happened? Did I do something wrong? I don’t want to leave a bad review but I would like to get reimbursed for the 2 pounds that I threw away. Also, I would like to hear your explanation so I can continue to purchase from you with confidence.
Maybe you will respond to a bad review which I was respectfully trying to avoid.
**From USWM - Dear Robin, I want to thank you for your valued feedback and for reaching out with your review. After a in-depth search of your initial email, I was able to locate your communication attempt from the first of this Month. I personally monitor our email inbox and respond to each communication within 24-48 hours. This said, your email was filtered to our 'junk' account. I will revisit our email filter settings, as I agree this should never have happened. In direct response to your feedback, our chicken thighs should not be rubbery after grilling. Pasture raised chickens will have slightly less fat in the winter months (here in the Midwest) as the energy is used to keep them warm. I will refund you for the Qty x2 Pasture Raised Chicken Thighs SKU 88007 that did not meet customer expectation. - Here is a great little recipe using our chicken on the grill that might interest you! - https://discover.grasslandbeef.com/blog/grilled-chicken-drumsticks/ Best of health!
