Love the taste of this cut!
Love the taste of this cut. We place them in a frying pan put the lid on the pan and slow cook in the oven yummy. Also helps with the chewiness of this cut. I prefer this cut of skirt steak over the standard cut they sell. My wife and I must have ordered more than 250 of these over the years. - Phillip A.

Prefer the Leaner Cuts
If you like a skirt steak with more fat this is the one for you. We just aren’t fans and prefer the leaner cuts. The flavor is still good as is the overall quality. - Pam P.

Downhill quality
This last order had too much inedible silverskin. I tried to remove as much as I could but still ended up with scraps on my plate and an aching jaw from chewing so hard.

This used to be a really good, fatty, flavorful cut but my last couple of orders have ben disappointingly tough. See my review from 11/4/2018.

Will not be ordering again. Yes I marinate this cut and cook quickly on high heat; I've been cooking grass-fed for years and I think I know what I'm doing.

Now I need to go dig meat shards out of my teeth...

Inconsistent but tasty
I usually marinate this cut for an hour or so (I've found that marinating for too long makes it squishy) and throw it on the grill. Great flavor. In the past I would get one long piece that I would usually cut into 2-3 steaks, but this last order had one smaller and separate steak that was covered in silverskin and  absolutely inedibly tough. Please take care to remove this stuff in the future.

Wonderful flavor
Cooked this steak for 2-3 minutes on each side in screaming hot pan and then let it rest. Sliced it thin and put on a large green salad.  So delish and healthy.  Definitely will buy again.

The BEST Steak I have ever had!
Who would've thought that the best steak I would have had in my life so far would've been a skirt steak?? Not me, but it's true! Delicious, flavorful, tender. Amazing job, US Wellness Meats, and thank you!

Great flavor, takes marinade well ...
This was part of my first order from US Wellness Meats, and this product alone will make me a repeat customer.

I've prepared 2 of these so far -- one without marinade (I wanted to assess the flavor of the meat itself) and one with a red wine/garlic/grapeseed oil marinade.  I grilled both the same way: fairly quickly over relatively high heat so that I got some char on the outside but the interior was still med-rare.  Sheer perfection!  Sliced thin and used in fajitas, a salad, and alone as an entry with rice pilaf and asparagus.  So versatile.

I grew up in Kansas City, but live far from there now (far northwest corner of the US in WA state) and I just can't find good beef up here (fish, yes; beef, no).  Finding a source of really good flavorful beef has been nearly impossible -- until now.  USWM prices are extremely reasonable, especially since shipping is included -- how great is that??

Really, I'm blown away.  Highly recommended, just don't overcook or it WILL be tough.  Rare to medium rare should do it.

Excellent
I bought both the inside and just the skirt steak, marinated them overnight and cooked them on the George Forman grill.  OMG, they were both tender and mouth watering!!  Totally worth every penny!  My company loved them too!!!

Used a great recipe and the meat was very chewy. We were disappointed. Opt for the tri tip steaks instead for a "bargain" steak.

We normally do not hear bad reviews on our Beef Inside Skirt Steak. There are a couple things you can do to help with the toughness of any meat. Extra aging is always helpful especially in grass fed meat. If you know that your going to have the steak on say Wednesday, go ahead and lay the steak out on Sunday or Monday and give it the opportunity to age for a few more days in the refrigerator. The same thing applies for marinading. Marinading helps with the tenderness of the meat. We hope this helps!

Delicious!
These are perfect when marinated overnight in lime juice, EVOO, soy sauce, pepper flakes, green onion, and cumin.  Came off the grill and were perfectly tender and moist!  Nice product.

great skirt steak
this is a really underrated cut of meat.  great to marinate and throw on the grill the next night.  tender and flavorful.  also makes great taco meat if marinated in garlic, cumin, chili powder etc.  i have one in the freezer that i will probably make this week for tacos.  will definitely buy this one again.

Perfect for stir fry
Marinate the steak in a homemade teriyaki .  I use coconut aminos, hone, garlic and a little ginger and marinate for 8 to 24 hours. I've been grill to a medium And stirfry up with a bunch of veggies.

Worth the money
Just received yesterday and allowed to thaw and had for dinner and my husband and I both truly enjoyed it's clean taste and tender texture. Can't say enough on the packaging from US Wellness Meats..frozen hard every time I have received a package even in hot Oklahoma summer heat.

surprisingly tender
I bought some of this recently.  I work a lot so I end up pan frying meat often just because it is convenient.  I ended up cooking this in some balsamic vinegar and garlic.  I was really surprised at how tender it was.
