CONTAINS BONES !!! DO NOT BUY
I treated myself to lamb tongue, since I've tried cow tongue and loved it. 1. These are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for the tiny amount of meat that is left after you peel them and remove all of the cartilage (not an issue I noticed with the cow tongue, which is obviously also much larger).
2. But worst of all, and the most dangerous issue, is that I pulled out 6 tiny, thick little bones from the two tongues... which I only found because the first small piece I tried had 2 bones in it (NOT easy to see them and I wasn't expecting this to have bones anyway). I nearly choked on them. I also bit down on them after trying to stop myself from swallowing them last second. Not so great for your teeth either! Between the skyhigh price, the grizzle and cartilage, AND BONES in this lamb tongue... NEVER AGAIN. It should be taken out of stock until USWM makes sure these are free of bones OR customers are warned before someone, or some child, chokes on this. I took photos to show you all but I guess they don't allow you to attach them.

FROM USWM: Thank you for your review. I see we responded to your email communication on this situation stating: "Our butcher is confident that these are not bones, but rather hard cartilage present in the back of the tongue. Though rare, our team identified the cartilage straight away." I have confirmation that the description of our lamb/beef tongue was updated to include the potential presence of cartilage the day following your initial email. Given the severity of this issue, we populated a refund to your CC used in purchase for the Qty x2 Lamb Tongues included in your purchase. Again, we appreciate your feedback and are here if you have any additional questions or concern. Best, The US Wellness Meats Team
