With its crusty exterior and dense, chewy center, this rustic loaf is up for any preparation or occasion. And it practically begs to be buttered!
The carbs in this bread are a bit higher than Wellness Bakeries Better Bread Mix. But it still contains 50 percent fewer carbs than the average commercial loaf. Healthy, grain-free bread has never tasted quite so good!
NOTE: Package directions call for yeast. This ingredient is optional and can be omitted for those who are sensitive. Nutritional yeast can also be substituted.
You Will Need:
1 Crusty Boule Mix
2 tsp. active dry yeast
2 tsp. honey, maple syrup or coconut sugar
1¼ cup water
Egg Wash: 1 egg yolk + 1 tsp. water (optional)
Seeds: Poppy seeds, sesame seeds (optional)
YIELD: Two 6” boules (16 servings)
