Anchor unsalted Butter is minimally pasteurized since it is illegal for us to sell raw butter. Pasteurising heats the milk to 72°C and holds it at this temperature for 15 seconds. During pasteurisation all harmful bacteria are destroyed.
Our cows are not treated with Growth Hormones.

Our current inventory for Anchor Unsalted Grass-fed Butter has a normal expiration date of NOVEMBER 20, 2021. All stock is kept in our sub-zero warehouse at -10 degrees Fahrenheit. Butter kept in storage below freezing lasts at least an additional 6-9 months beyond it's expiration date. Unopened butter kept in your home refrigerator below 40 degrees Fahrenheit will last an additional month at least.
